Help the poor in the DR!

- Help send a generator to the Good Samaritan Hospital. The Wallingford
Rotary Club has secured a donated generator to run vital medical equipment at the hospital, and funds are now being raised to ship it from CT to the DR. To get involved, or for more information, contact John Powers via email at john@jmrcom.com or call (203) 294-9406. Visit the DR Mission Team on the web - fbcwlfd.org/dr The DR Mission Team is a ministry of First Baptist, Wallingford, CT.

- Sponsor water purification for the bateyes. We are in the process of beginning a project to provide families in the very poor sugar cane villages with their own sand water filter. These filters cost around $40 each and are proven to provide clean water for 25 years!

- Support a teenager or adult from our community who hopes to travel to La Romana, DR, with our mission team. Each person that is part of that team is responsible for $1,150, and many people need financial help to go. This is a life-changing experience for our young people and adults, and they will bring relief and hope to the very poor!

- Send desperately needed medicines with our group. Donated meds needed for the poor, or for $400 MAP International will provide our mission team with $4,000 - $6,000 worth of antibiotics, pain medication, etc. Our group will personally transport these medicines to the DR and our medical team will distribute them to the very poor.

- Help with the adoption of Bateyes Las Ceyas, 205, and 50. Members of our community (and others) send money each month to provide the children in this poor village with medical visits, vitamins, education, etc.

- Pray for the countless poor living in the Dominican Republic. Ask God’s blessing on their health care, employment, education, and the growth of their churches.
